Eversheds Sutherlands’ Employment Law team is one of the largest in the world. With more than 100 Employment lawyers and more recognised experts in the UK than any other firm, we have the expertise and resources to deal with matters of any size and complexity. We also work closely with various government departments and agencies and employers' groups to ensure, as new law is drafted, that it is fit for purpose and reflects the commercial needs of our clients.

Role and key responsibilities

We are looking to expand the team and have opportunities for lawyers with 5 - 8 PQE who would be interested in being part of an energetic team of specialist Employment solicitors within a challenging and rewarding area of law.

 

Team members carry out leading work for major organisations making the law as well as advising on it. The resources of an international firm allow all of our lawyers to produce their best work and use their imagination as well as legal skills to provide a great service to our clients.

 

Ideally candidates will have the ability to deal with the competing demands of clients which arise from involvement in a number of separate transactions at once and have the ability to work flexibly to tight deadlines as well the ability to demonstrate the delivery of excellent client care, including advising clients on high profile cases

 

You will work directly with the Partners and wider team to manage complex projects, as well as dealing with employment cases across a number of sectors including: technology, retail, industrials, financial services and utilities

 

You will supervise as appropriate more junior members of the team

Skills and experience

We are looking for:

  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently at times with little supervision.
  • Experience of working in a national team of lawyers.
  • Experience of managing international stakeholders and supplier relationships
  • Responsive to change and can innovate to accommodate clients’ needs and provide commercial solutions to maximise value for the client.
  • Training skills with design and delivery of bespoke and public training material.
  • Excellent IT Skills to deliver innovative advice solutions.
  • A commitment of delivering quality service is essential, as is the ability to handle the demands of a heavy workload
