The Team

The Eversheds Sutherland Business Acceptance Team (“BAT”) is based in Leeds and works within the Governance and Compliance team to support the firm in meeting its legal and regulatory obligations. The BAT is divided into two sub-teams, the conflicts team and the client opening team.  The conflicts team manage conflicts handling for new clients and new matters and the implementation of information barriers.  The client opening team assist the firm to comply with the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017 completing due diligence on the firm’s clients. 

The Role

The Business Acceptance Coordinator is an essential role within the team, you will manage the teams inbox along with allocating work and answering queries from internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate BAT work streams
  • Manage BAT shared Outlook mailboxes
  • Assist with the delivery of BAT projects
  • Assist internal clients with ad-hoc queries via email and telephone
  • Support with client and matter risk assessments in line with Firm policies and procedures
  • Support with third party payment requests in line with Firm policies and procedures
  • Directing queries to the appropriate person
  • Provide an efficient and professional service to all internal clients
  • Build strong and lasting relations with internal clients, colleagues and stakeholders in order to achieve business goals and objectives.
