The Eversheds Sutherland Conflicts and Compliance Unit (“CCU”) is based in Leeds and works within the Risk Team to support the firm in meeting its legal and regulatory obligations. 

The CCU is divided into two sub-teams, the conflicts team and the client opening team.  The conflicts team manage conflicts handling for new clients and new matters and the implementation of information barriers.  The client opening team assist the firm to comply with the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017 completing due diligence on the firm’s clients.
