The Insurance and Claims Team is an in-house legal team within the Risk & Knowledge Group which is headed by the General Counsel. It arranges insurance cover for the firm worldwide and manages our relationships with insurers and brokers. It deals with the full range of insurance queries and issues, including all claims and circumstances. The team works closely with lawyers and other colleagues around the business to tailor our insurance cover to business requirements, to investigate and resolve claims, and to develop training and risk management policies and guidance based on our experience.

The team reports and actively engages with insurers and the Executive. The wider Risk Team develops and implements effective policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, provides in-house commercial advice for business contracts, and oversees other issues affecting the firm’s risk profile and reputation. The Risk Team is successfully creating a robust framework for managing risk across all parts of our business, which continues to expand internationally.
